Cllr Paul Redstone (Northern Rother) has been elected Conservative Group Leader in the new East Sussex County Council administration at County Hall.

Paul and his wife have lived in Cripps Cripps Corner, near Robertsbridge, for more than 35 years; raising four children (and some dogs).

He is a software expert who has co-owned/owned two businesses in East Sussex, the first providing services to pharmaceutical companies to help develop new drugs. It was Sussex Company of the year in 1992,

Paul has been a county councillor for Northern Rother since 2021 - representing residents in the north-east corner of East Sussex.

He said: “Our approach of constructive opposition means that, as Conservatives, we will determine on a case-by-case basis whether we vote for or against any policy or motion, or abstain. We will also clearly explain on any such occasion our reasons for doing so."
